Our workshops have been created to engage your passion for photography and enhance your knowledge and experience with specially tailored presentations and guided shooting opportunities.

Set in the south of France and northern Italy, these five-day workshops will stimulate your creativity, expand your technical capabilities and help you find your personal vision.

Our goal is to inspire, guide and support you in your pursuit of improving your photography and your relationship with the world through it.

"The Photographer's Eye" workshop gives participants a week of insight and practice into the core ways of seeing, shooting and presenting images as a professional does. The goal is to examine and understand some of the essential aspects of imagemaking, both creatively and technically. We also explore the experience of photography and being a photographer, and how it relates us to the world and to others.

Each day we work on different aspects of making photographs. Through morning presentations and guided shooting excursions/assignments, and afternoon digital-lab sessions and group critiques, you will have hands-on experience shooting and preparing images, and receive feedback and specific guidance from the instructors. Current Photoshop tips and techniques are presented at the beginning of each afternoon session.

Our shooting excursions allow us to visit some of the enchanting locations in the region such as the historic hilltop villages of the Cote d'Azur. Being off the beaten path, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the local colour, personalities and food of the area as well as exploring with your camera and capturing images. The landscapes and light of the Mediterranean coast will frame your experience here.

Please note :

The workshop is based around colour photography tools and techniques, and has an optional digital black & white session available to those interested.

We commence with a welcome and orientation session on Sunday. Monday to Friday are working days, with Wednesday afternoon being free for shooting, digital lab work or other activities. We wrap up with a final critique and cocktail.
